Frequently asked questions about BIM in construction and operation
What is an as-built model?
It is the BIM model that reflects what was actually built (not what was designed), updated with the site information. It is the basis for operating and maintaining the building.
What is BIM used for in the operation phase?
A well-structured model lets you locate assets, plan maintenance and integrate the information with CAFM/IWMS systems and, at its most advanced, with a digital twin.
Can I hire just one of these services?
Yes. Each service is independent; we can also chain them (as-built → facility management → digital twin) as you need.
